Oku is a browser and encrypted data vault based on IPFS

1. Install Nix
   Debian

   Bash

   $ apt install --yes curl git jq nix

   Ubuntu

   Bash

   $ apt install --yes curl git jq nix

   Arch

   $ pacman --sync --refresh --noconfirm curl git jq nix

2. Download a configuration file

   # default.nix

3. Enable binary substituters

4. Build and run the shell
   Debian Sid/Trixie

   $ nix-build ./default.nix && ./result

   Ubuntu 25.04

   $ nix-build ./default.nix && ./result

   $ rev=$(nix-instantiate --eval --attr sources.nixpkgs.rev https://github.com/ngi-nix/ngipkgs/archive/master.tar.gz | jq --raw-output)

5. Usage Instructions

   1. Open oku and enter your favorite website into the URL.

   2. Alternatively, run:

      $ oku -n 'https://www.fsf.org'

{ ... }:

{
  programs.oku.enable = true;
}
